Today Night School Studio released the first trailer for their upcoming game called Afterparty which you can watch above. The trailer shows off a vibrant art style, the game's two protagonists and the new dialogue system which looks very familiar to people who've played the developer's first game, Oxenfree.
In Afterparty, you play as Milo and Lola, recently deceased best friends who find themselves in hell. But they find a loophole to come back to the living: outdrink Satan and he'll grant you re-entry to Earth.
“Players can chat up demons and the deceased using a new dialogue system, challenge them to Satanic bar games, and drink from a huge menu of infernal cocktails, all with game changing abilities”, stated Sean Krankel, studio director, in an interview with IGN.
The game's protagonists will be voiced by Janina Gavankar (Star Wars: Battlefront 2) and Khoi Dao (Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale).
Afterparty is set to come out in 2019 with no announced platforms at the time of writing. However judging by their previous game, Night School Studio's next one might come out for PC and Xbox platforms first, with further console and mobile ports coming at a later date.
