The NES Classic Edition comes pre-loaded with 30 NES games and is priced at $60.

Nintendo surprised many in an announcement last week of its next console, but it was not the NX. Instead, it is a miniature sized version of the classic NES called the NES Classic Edition.

The mini console will be sold with 30 games pre-loaded including classics like Super Mario Brothers, Castlevania, and The Legend of Zelda. It is powered by a USB cable, includes the AC adapter (except in the UK), and comes with one controller designed like the classic gamepad. It can be plugged into a TV through an HDMI cable.

Unfortunately for fans of other NES titles, Nintendo does not plan to load other titles to the system. “The console is a standalone device, so it cannot connect to the internet or any external storage devices,” Nintendo stated to Kotaku. “The 30 games included with the system were chosen to provide a wide variety of top-quality, long-lasting game-play experiences.”

The NES Classic Edition will launch on November 11 for $60 or £50 in the UK. If you have any comments, leave them below.
