Microsoft confirmed to IGN UK that Undead Labs' next game, State Of Decay 2, has a release date. It is set to come out on May 22nd 2018 for the Xbox One, Xbox One X and Windows Store. It will also be available for Xbox Game Pass owners on launch.
The zombie post-apocalypse survival game will feature four player co-op set in an open world, following a group of survivors of a refugee camp in small-town America, 18 months after the first game.
The game will be available in two editions: Standard which will cost $29.99 and Ultimate which will cost $49.99. The Ultimate Edition has the base game, plus the Independence Pack, Daybreak Pack DLCs, and a copy of the State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition for Xbox One. The Ultimate Edition owners will be able to play the game 4 days earlier than everyone else, on May 18th.
“Our goal is to build a long-term relationship with the State of Decay community and to foster deeper experiences with the franchise," stated Microsoft GM of Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg on the announcement. "We believe State of Decay 2 accomplishes this goal by immersing fans in the ultimate zombie survival fantasy, and we want to give more players the opportunity to join in and experience this unique game.”
